ANQ Congress Tokyo 2009
Policy on Cancellation of Presentation

Please make sure that you prepare your presentation thoroughly and once you have been allotted
a certain presentation slot, please try not to withdraw your presentation. The program committee
would very much appreciate your cooperation.
(1) If a speaker assigned to the oral session has not completed the on-site registration process one hour before the beginning of the allocated session, his or her presentation will be withdrawn and replaced with a presentation by a stand-by speaker. If the speaker assigned to the poster session has not completed the on-site registration process one hour before the beginning of the allocated core time, his or her presentation will be withdrawn.
(2) Speakers assigned to the poster session may make their presentation in the oral session if they are registered as stand-by speakers prior to the opening ceremony of the congress and one of the presentations scheduled for the oral session gets cancelled. As a lot of papers have been submitted and there was limited availability of slots in the oral session, many speakers who requested permission to make their presentations in the oral session have been allocated to the poster session.
Thus, the program committee has appointed stand-by speakers to facilitate the presentations of a large number of speakers in the oral session.
(3) The program committee will decide upon the session in which the stand-by speakers may make their presentations. Only speakers allocated to the poster session will be eligible to be stand-by speakers.
(4) Presentation withdrawals (including details like the names of the speaker, country, and theme)
will be reported to the ANQ Board Meeting.
(5) The program committee will be publishing the papers of the speakers actually making their presentations in the final program on the website (http://www.jsqc.org/anq2009/).
(6) Speakers forced to withdraw their presentations due to unavoidable reasons should
communicate their decision regarding the same to the secretariat (kokusai@jsqc.org) as soon as possible.
